Joyce Andersen & Harvey Reid will present 3 special concerts to celebrate their new 2004 CD "Kindling the Fire" They will perform all the songs from the new recording, plus solo selections and duets from their earlier CDs. This is their second collaboration CD, with an exciting mix of original, traditional and covers. This CD showcases their razor-sharp harmony singing and instrumental work at their best, and takes their partnership to a new depth and energy. They share the songwriting and lead vocal roles, and fans of hand-crafted traditional-flavored acoustic music will find a lot to get excited about in the 13 songs and 2 instrumentals on this hour-long CD. With a down-home and roots feel, features 4 originals, 5 traditionals, and reworkings of songs by Willie Johnson, Lemon Jefferson, John Hurt, Lucinda Williams, Norman Blake and more.
